2.5.3 Re-installing the CPU fan and

heatsink assembly

To re-install the CPU fan and heatsink assembly:

1. Position the CPU fan and

heatsink assembly on top of the

installed CPU.

2. Align the retention bracket with

the rails on the side of the CPU

fan.

3. Attach the retention bracket

hook in the retention module

hole.

4. Carefully press down the

retention bracket locking lever

until its hook attaches to the

retention module hole.

5. Follow steps 2-4 to re-install the

second retention bracket.

6. Connect the CPU fan cable to

the CPU fan connector on the

motherboard.
